Peacefully, at his home in Georgian Bluffs, on Sunday, October 29th, 2017 in his 72nd year.  Bill, beloved husband for 49 years of Evelyn (nee Truax).  Loving father of William Slot and his partner Krista Gardiner-Byers, and Connie and her husband Scott Rogers.  Dear grandfather of Chantel Rogers (Curtis Gibbons), Karissa Slot, Carling Rogers, Mariah Slot, Bryce Copeland, Olivia Copeland, and step grandfather of Rebecca Byers and Katie Byers.  Special Uncle to Kelly Bergman (Jason) and Mellinda Copeland (David).  Bill will be missed by his many nieces and nephews and family in Holland.  Predeceased by his parents Jannes (John) & Wilhemina Slot.  Bill was a long-time employee at PPG in Owen Sound where he worked for 33 years before retiring.

A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, November 4th, 2017, at the First United Church, 435 21st Street West, Owen Sound, 519-376-1736 with Rev. Kristal McGee officiating.

Memorial donations to the Chapman House Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
