DODD, Jean Victoria (nee Ptolemy)

of Owen Sound passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at Georgian Heights on Saturday July 18, 2015 in her 84th year. Jean was predeceased by her husband, the Reverend Father Percy Charles Dodd (1992). Survived by five children; Scott (Heather) of Kitchener, Clarke (Deadre) of Chatsworth, Phil (Bev) of Owen Sound, Margaret Molnar (Michael) of Summerfield North Carolina, Barbara Bryan (Martin) of Mount Hope, Ontario. Jean left behind 9 grandchildren, Jonathan, Benjamin, Cory (Nichole), Jordan, Matthew (Colet), Christopher, Kaitlyn, Charles and Adam; also, 2 great grandchildren, Alexis and Cole. Special grandmother to David. She will be missed by several nieces and nephews. Raised on a homestead farm in Saskatchewan she found her calling in Nursing, married an Anglican priest with roots in Ontario and migrated to several parishes in South-Western Ontario. She returned to the farm almost every summer. She retired from Grey Bruce Health Services Rehab Unit in 1994. She dedicated her life to serving others. The family would like to thank the staff at Georgian Heights for their wonderful care of mom over the past few years. Friends are invited to the Tannahill Funeral Home for visiting on Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at St. Philips Anglican Church, Walters Falls on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 11 o'clock. Jean was the daughter of Victor and Annetta Ptolemy late of Dinsmore Saskatchewan. Also predeceased by brothers Roger and Garth Ptolemy, sisters in laws Violet Paine and Elsie McMillan. Survived by Stanley and Anne Dodd of England and Lillian Dodd of London, Ontario. Jean leaves behind many friends in the west and in Dutton, Thamesford, London, Windsor, Gorrie, Chatsworth, and of late Owen Sound.
