The community has lost an amazing woman who loved to golf, sing in choirs, shop, watch the Raptors and Blue Jays at home with her husband Ervin, but most of all she cherished her family, especially her husband, children and grandchildren.   She lived life to the fullest and her infectious laughter will be missed.  Survived by her husband Ervin Garvie of 64 years, daughter Karen Garvie, sons Steven Garvie (Donna), Doug Garvie (Nancy) and Mike Garvie (Pauline), sister Carolyn Bodnar (Jim) and sister-in-law Judy Garvie.  Predeceased by her son Ron Garvie (2011), daughter Patricia Garvie-Tannahill (2014), parents Lloyd and Noreen Ronald and sister Linda Ronald.  Memorial donations in honour of Joan may be made to the Oncology Department at the Owen Sound Hospital Foundation.  A private family service will be held with arrangements entrusted to Tannahill Funeral Home, 1178 4th Ave West, Owen Sound, 519 376 3710.  The family would like to thank the wonderful doctors and nurses for their care and kindness.  Memorial online at www.tannahill.com
