Developer of the Thistledown Golf Course (Scenic City) and a WWII Veteran

Peacefully, at Brucelea Haven, Walkerton, on Friday, September 22nd, 2017.  Richard, formerly of Owen Sound, in his 98th year. Husband of the late Ulundi Mary “Mickey” (nee Adams).  Dear father of Ronald and his wife Patricia of Brockville, and Cathy-Jean Gilas (Dave Thompson) of Owen Sound.  Sadly missed by his grandchildren Melissa (Kevin), Mary, Robin (Alex) and Amber (Morgan) and 5 great grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Dorothy Loucks of Meaford and his nieces and nephews.

A private service for immediate family members has been held.  Memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Grey Bruce or the Owen Sound Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
