Ruth Ileen (Ralph) Jacques

Peacefully, with family by her side, on Thursday April 18, 2024 in her 88th year.  Ruth, beloved wife of the late Leo, loving mother of the late Noella and her partner Craig, Darrell and his partner Paz, Brenda and her husband Tony, Lee and his wife Fern, Victoria and her husband Kevin.  Proud Gramma and Great Gramma to many.  Predeceased by her loving brothers – John, Earle, Aubrey, Ken, Jim, Deane, Gerry and Dale.

Ruth met Leo at a young age, which led to over 70 years together as a couple.  She will be remembered for being the “Family Historian”, the number one problem solver and for her sense of humour.  We are all better people because she would settle for nothing less.  Ruth excelled in answering questions on Jeopardy and she loved crafts such as sewing, crochet and painting.  Life will never be the same without her but there is some consolation in knowing that she is now with her one true love Leo and her beautiful daughter Noella.

Ruth, and the entire family would like to thank Care Partners, all medical support staff, and especially Dr. Brooke Edwards for her exceptional kindness and compassion.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 189 in Blind River on May 7th, 2024 at 2 – 4 PM and again at 7 – 9 PM.  In lieu of flowers, a charitable donation to the local food bank would be appreciated.
