On Wednesday, June 15th, 2017, at John Joseph Place, Owen Sound, in her 86th year.  Betty, dedicated wife of the late Mervyn Byers.  Loving mother of Susan Elliott (Jerry), Shannon Shaw (Greg), Steven Byers (Dawn), and Marc Byers. Proud grandmother of Rhonda, Mary-Jane, Jason, Jaret, Josh, Matt, Adam, Scott, Emmy Lou, Jake, Kaydee, and Brooke.  Predeceased by her sons Mike and Jeff, her daughter-in-law Marilyn, and her son-in-law Jerry.

Betty was a great lady with a lot of fight! She was the best cook on the East side. She always had a cigarette and a coffee waiting if you popped in and needed to talk. She was deeply loyal to her family and had a forgiving heart. Betty gave everything she had to her family.  She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her dogs Minnie and Mouse.

A graveside service for Betty will be held at the Leith Cemetery, on Thursday, June 22nd, 2017 at 11:00am.
