George Vernon Smithson

Suddenly at his home on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the age of 89.  George, beloved husband of Helen (nee Ellis) for 61 years.  Dear father of Rob of Owen Sound, and Suzanne (Dino Anest) of Wasaga Beach.  Also survived by his many nieces, nephews and extended family.  George will be missed by his canine pal Johnny. Predeceased by his sister Alma Fox, and by his brothers Ed, Walter, and Jack Smithson.

A Celebration of George’s life will be held on Saturday, June 16th, 2018 from 1:00pm – 4:00pm at Cobble Beach, 221 McLeese Dr., Kemble.

Memorial donations to the Owen Sound Hospital Foundation or the First United Church, Owen Sound would be appreciated by the family.
