James Sebesta

Suddenly, at his home on Monday, October 15, 2018 in his 62nd year.  Jim, beloved husband of 38 years to Christine (nee Farrar).  Loving Dad of Andrew James and his wife Tomoko, and Christopher John. Proud Grandpa of Kai and May.  Dear brother of Julie and her husband John Murray, Betty and her husband Bob Stevenson, Paul and his wife Darlene, and David and his wife Karen. Dear brother-in-law of Bill Farrar and his wife Liz, Ken Farrar and his wife Cindy, Julia and her husband Keith Rogerson, Gillian and her husband Myles McManaman, Alison and her husband Dave Jensen, and David Farrar and his wife Justine.  Jim will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents Paul and Helen Sebesta, and by his in-laws Sam and Ann Farrar.

Jim was an Artist who chose to teach his passion. He taught for 30 years, 25 of them at OSCVI.  He left a lasting impression, and will be fondly remembered by those who chose to share his passion.  Jim retired in 2015 to continue his passion of painting and writing.  He was a strong advocate for Autism and was writing a book about his life with his son.

Friends will be received on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Tannahill Funeral Home, 1178 4th Ave West, Owen Sound, 519-376-3710.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 1:00pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 6, 1450 2nd Ave West, Owen Sound.

Memorial donations to Autism Ontario or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
