Peacefully, with family and friends by her side on Wednesday, April 26th, 2017.  Marie Van Veen in her 83rd year.  Beloved wife of the late Jim.  Dear mother of Marion and her husband Doug MacDonald of Tara, Jim Van Veen and his wife Robyn MacDonald of Owen Sound, and Rick Van Veen and his wife Wendy of Tara.  Proud grandmother of Vanessa, Sharleen, Kristen, Jamie, Mitchell and Karleigh and great grandmother of Ethan, Gordon and Audrey.  Dear sister of John Struyk and his wife Carol, Betsy and her husband Dirk Van der Ploeg, and sister-in-law of Riza Struyk, Marie and her husband Peter Spekking, Jean and her husband Herb Lobbezoo, and Ena Westenberg.  Predeceased by her infant daughter Barbara, sister Janny Bosklopper, and brother Len Struyk.

Friends will be received on Sunday, April 30th, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Tannahill Funeral Home, 1178 4th Ave West, Owen Sound, 519-376-3710.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 1st, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Kilsyth United Church with Rev. David Shearman officiating.
