Donald Edward Wilson

Peacefully, with family by his side on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at the age of 58. Don will be sadly missed by his children, Elizabeth Marietta, Donnie, Donovan (Jennifer), Jake, Jessie (Adam), Samantha (Rob), Lorna, Jorja (Noah) Wilson, Taylia, Daylin, Kyle (Alex) Robson, and Justin (Michelle) Ritchie and Carol Marietta. Proud Grandfather of 8. Dear brother of Paul, Grace (Rick Parsons), and Larry (Shelly) and best friend, Sheila. He is predeceased by his parents Cecil and Lorna Wilson.
Don was a loving father and grandfather and lived life to the fullest. He was a hard worker and always willing to lend a helping hand.
He worked on the Oil Rigs out West, in the Quarries on the Bruce Peninsula and he was a valued employee of the McArthur Tire family team for many years here in Owen Sound.
He loved to fish with his children, take long walks and spend his weekends with Jorja. The family would like to thank Don’s entire medical team for their support, care and compassion. Special thanks to Dr.Aboo, Karen Hiscox, Macy and Moving Grey Bruce.
Friends can attend a Celebration of Life Ceremony with Don’s family at the Tannahill Funeral Home, 1178 4th Ave West, Owen Sound on Sunday, January 8, 2023 from 1:00pm until the time of the service at 2:00pm with Sheila Robson officiating.
At the Family’s request, memorial donations can be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society and would be greatly appreciated.
