Frederick Bauer Obituary

Fred passed away peacefully at GBHS Owen Sound on August 26, 2020 with his daughter, Heidi, by his side. He was in his 98th year.

Fred was predeceased in 1997 by his wife of 41 years, Christa Bauer (nee Koch) and in 2011 by his companion Barbara Kreutle.

He is survived by his daughters Heidi Bauer-Hume (John) of Meaford and Brigitta Dietrich (Ronald) and her family in Munich, Germany.

He was the very proud grandfather of Bailey.

Fred was fiercely independent and remarkably resilient which allowed him to remain in his beloved home until March of this year.

We are grateful for the support Fred received from his friends and neighbours over the years.

We would also like to thank Dr. Marion Arthur for the personal care and compassion she always provided.

Cremation has taken place and in accordance with Fred’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.
