Frederick "Ted" George Boyes

Surrounded by his family, at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, Frederick “Ted” Boyes passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at the age of 76. He was a beloved father, husband, grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Ted was born on April 27, 1947 in Sunderland, Great Britain. He was raised in Stratford, Ontario by his father, Fred and mother, Kate and continued to have lifelong friends from his youth in Stratford.

His experiences in various trades and schooling provided him with the skills to create a unique and imaginative filled environment for his family and friends to spend time together. Ted, Heather and Trison lived, loved and thrived together in these spaces they created for many years.

Ted was a devoted father to his son Trison. He was always there to offer guidance and support, and instilled a passion for music which Trison continues to explore.

Ted is survived by his loving wife Heather Lee, son Trison Boyes, stepsons Anthony (Patricia) and Jason (Susannah), and his three grandchildren, Angus, Max, and Mia.

A Celebration of Ted’s life will be held for family and friends with details to be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Owen Sound Hospital Foundation.

The family wishes to thank all the medical professionals and staff at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound for their care and support.
