Glen Melvin Barber

On January 2nd, 2021, Glen Melvin Barber passed away quietly in the Wiarton hospital, he was in his 91st year. We would like to thank the staff for the excellent care and compassion they showed Dad. Although suffering from Alzheimers the past 5 years, Dad bravely battled the disease and kept it at bay most times. Glen leaves behind his best friend, Ishbel McKiernan, daughter Glenda, sons Wayne (Denise), Rick (Julie), and Randy (Vicky), sister-in-law Marg Smith, and grandchildren Andrew, Fred, Sam, TJ, Krista, and Dylan, and many great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Glen was predeceased by his wife of 50 years Lorraine (Nicholls), daughter Sherry Mathias (Brian), brothers Gord (Faye) and Jim, sister Shirley Ramage (Don), and his parents, father James Gordon, mother Norine (Creede) and stepmother Rita (Lancaster).

As per Dad’s wishes there will be a private family graveside service at a later date.
