Johanna (Hogendoorn) Brak

Peacefully, with family by her side on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at the age of 93. Johanna, loving wife of the late Bastiaan Brak. Beloved Mom of Robert and his wife Linda, Peter and his wife Sandra, Charlie and his wife Cathy, Hank and his late wife Shannon, Don, Brian and his wife Heather, Shirley and her husband Vern Almond, and Sharon and her husband Hamoody Hassan. Cherished Oma of John, Jackie, Jody, Westley, Adrian, Natalie (Garrett), Leah (Bradley), Olivia, and Sanaa; and Great Oma of eight.

It is hard to say goodbye to a great mom that was always so good to us. She loved life on the farm taking care of her eight children and her loving husband. She was kind and gentle, and always had time for us kids. She had a happy welcoming smile till the end. Our Mom had an amazing journey through her 93 years, that brought her from the Netherlands to Owen Sound, Meaford, Paisley, Wingham and back to Meaford, where her journey here ended.  Mom lived each day humbly and with joy and grace.

Family and friends will be received at the Christian Reform Church, 201 4th Ave West, Owen Sound on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 12:00pm until the time of the funeral service at 1:00pm.

Memorial donations to the Canadian Red Cross for the Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal would be appreciated by the family.
