William Edward Brennan

William Edward Brennan, born on June 25th 1926 in St John's Newfoundland, peacefully passed away on May 9th 2021 at Summit Place Nursing Home in Owen Sound. Bill was born to Patrick and Elizabeth Brennan (nee Murphy). Bill was one of 4 children being the last to survive his sisters Clara, Mary and brother Thomas. Also predeceased by his late wife Phyllis Brennan (nee Sheppard), his daughter Theresa and 3 sons Joe, Billy, Leo Brennan and grandson Darcy Gilberds, all of Owen Sound. Bill will be deeply missed by his children John (Dale), Mary VanWyck (Fred), Pat (Christine), and Robert (Millet), daughter-in-law Val, and his 16 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Bill would have been a great great grandfather to 3 new babies ready to arrive in the Brennan family this year. 

When God calls you home you listen, you exit this world to start your eternal life in heaven. And there is no doubt when Bill was called home on that day that he went with an open heart and joy to be reunited with all of those who have went before him. What a celebration they all must be having. And for those of us who are left behind we celebrate as well. We celebrate in what an honor it was to be a part of such a wonderful man. His kindness and wise words he would share will live on in all of us, we were truly blessed to be part of his life.
