McArthur, Shirley Edna

Peacefully with family by her side, on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at Kelso Pines Retirement Home, Owen Sound, in her 88th year. Shirley, dear sister of June Moore, Gary Hewitt, Bryan Hewitt, the late Alba Thomas, and the late Dan Hewitt. Special daughter of the late George and Annie (McLay) McArthur. Predeceased by 11 McArthur brothers and sisters, and by her life long friend Marie Simpson. Cherished Aunt of Bob Gray, Annie Doane, Barb Sinclair, Sheila Smith, and Linda Isbester. Shirley will be deeply missed by many family and friends. Visitation will be held at the Tannahill Funeral Home, 1178 4th Avenue West, Owen Sound, (519)376-3710, on Friday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday November 5, 2016, at 11am in the chapel. Cremation to follow. Interment of cremated remains, Annan Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Salvation Army or Grey Bruce Health Services Owen Sound, would be appreciated by the family.
