Phyllis and family, our deepest sympathies to you on the sudden passing of Ron. My sister Jane gave us the shocking news as she and Grahma had worked with him on the the weekend at the summer folk festival. There were always great stories about him at the cottage and a little reassurance that a police officer was there in their presence.

It is with great sadness that I learn of Rons passing. I once called him the greatest Ambassador that Owen Sound ever had because he loved his family, his home and his community so much. Those who knew him loved him and he was the most dedicated police officer I had ever met who cared about people and the community he lived in. When I first took a position with the OSPS, Ron was my supervisor and he and Phyllis opened their home to me until my family moved there a few weeks later. The one thing I admired the most about Ron was not only his his sense of duty but his sense of family and he and Phyllis raised a great one who will surely miss him.

Ron - May your next beat be an easy one with the road rising to meet you, the wind always at your back, with the sun shining warmly and the rain falling softly. Until we meet again, remember we are always alone, but yet never alone, as god watches over us and our families. God bless my friend, you will be missed.
